Data Scientist
Do you love data? Are you someone who loves to interact with customers? We are looking for data scientists to interact with customers and their data in order to ensure their analytic success. If you are someone who enjoys data analysis and interacting with customers, then this position is for you!
Overall objective will be to help drive the successful implementation of the Iris Platform with new users in the Commercial marketplace, predominantly in the life sciences and healthcare arena, as well as widen the adoption of Iris within existing Commercial accounts.
Responsibilities
- Identify and document opportunities in the research workflow and/or therapeutic focus of new and existing accounts and users that can be improved with the adoption and implementation of the Iris platform.
- Develop implementation and planning documentation (ie, a Statement of Work) to successfully achieve and exceed the proof of concept requirements of the accounts and users (leading to the closure of licensing and professional services agreements).
- Develop and deliver presentations, webinars and training programs for target and current accounts focused on both research technology/workflow (i.e., how to handle a particular ‘omics datasets), as well as therapeutic-focused research (i.e., how can Iris help uncover biomarkers for auto-immune diseases) – with the goal being to drive implementation in new accounts and widen adoption in existing accounts.
- Provide scientific and technical leadership in the Non-Commercial market segment (Academic, Non-Profit, Foundation and Government) to help convert researchers into thought leaders to help with the successful validation at a scientific level via citing of the Iris platform in peer-reviewed journals and at poster sessions and presentations delivered at industry conferences.
Qualifications
- MS or PhD in scientific field, special consideration will be given to training in Cell and Molecular Biology, Genetics, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or related fields.
- Previous research laboratory experience (3+ years) in a Commercial or Non-Commercial setting.
- Must have experience in data analysis and data analytical methods.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) skills, detail oriented, able to successfully handle multiple projects and deadlines, team focused, individually driven, customer centric.
- Previous experience in marketing, sales, customer support, professional services or field application support with a commercial ‘omics/analysis software company focused on the life sciences (3+ years) a big plus.
Director, Product Marketing

We are looking for a stellar Product Marketing Director to launch Ayasdi as a leading provider of Big Data analytics products. You will be our resident marketing expert and will need to be able to switch between strategic
planning and execution to understand our customer, drive leads and retain customers, and support the sales process.
Ayasdi provides a radically new way to process and visualize big, complex data for scientists, researchers, and data-junkies allowing users to find answers to questions
they didn’t even know to ask. We find patterns in data that will help save lives, slow global warming, keep people safe, and drive business.
Responsibilities
- Understand the customer: Define user and buyer personas and understand the buying process and participants. Establish a customer research and feedback program.
- Product positioning and collateral: Working with product management, identify the key messages and draft customer-facing marketing materials.
- Field enablement: Develop product presentations, whitepapers, datasheets, nurturing campaigns and selling guides for our internal sales team.
- Generate leads and retain customers: Establish programs to drive leads through the funnel and maximize lifetime value.

Qualifications
- 8+ years product marketing experience for technical B2B products
- Product marketing or product management within the Big Data technology market
- Ability to synthesize complex ideas into simple concepts. Proven ability to establish messaging, positioning, and marketing requirements.

Scientific Account Manager
Do you love talking to people and learning about new data challenges all the time? Ayasdi seeks scientific account managers to assist and scale our customer operations. These team members will be responsible for the training, support, and success of our quickly growing customer base. The ideal candidate is a team player with a proactive attitude, a talent for customer interaction, excellent communication, and enthusiasm for data.
Responsibilities
- Team up with the marketing and sales team to ensure account success.
- Work with customers to understand data analysis goals and deployment requirements.
- Develop and deliver demonstrations and training materials, with the help of other technical teams.
- Synthesize customer feedback to guide product development.
- Ensure customer issues are addressed quickly and effectively.
- Handle escalations and establish a process for tracking customer-related engineering and operations efforts.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the support services.
- Coordinate enhancement and feature requests with product management and engineering.
- Provide content for marketing purposes

Bioinformatics Intern
Ayasdi is searching for an exceptional intern for a summer project. Success in this project will lead to publication of a poster and or paper or a significant contribution to an open-source software package.
Responsibilities
- Learn how to use the Ayasdi Iris platform.
- Locate, download, and process high impact Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) datasets via scripts and command-line tools.
- Communicate results via slide decks and scientific papers.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of molecular biology concepts (cell cycle, cancer biology).
- Familiarity with functional genomics datasets and analysis issues (microarray, SNP, NGS, etc).
- Scripting/coding skills are essential.
