As a System Administrator you will be responsible for all of our Technical Operations. You will manage the day to day operation of our colo and public cloud infrastructure.
Ayasdi uses a pioneering approach to automatically discover insights from complex data. Founded in 2008 after a decade of research at Stanford, DARPA, and NSF, Ayasdi uses Topological Data Analysis (TDA) to unify best-of-breed machine learning approaches into a common framework without the need to write algorithms, queries or models. Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent 5+ years combination of technical training and experience related to the essential skills knowledge and abilities below.
Demonstrated technical expertise in linux system administration such as CentOS, RedHat and Ubuntu.
Experience with fundamental networking and distributed computing concepts.
Demonstrated effective oral and written skills, and communication and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively work with other system administrators, application developers, and end-users.
Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible, to administer systems.
Experience with system monitoring tools that provide continuous diagnostic data.
Background administering deployments in cloud based services (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)
Nice to have
Working knowledge of Hadoop or other big data applications
Administering and expanding a Kubernetes cluster
Experience with Python and Shell scripting
Experience working with VMware vSphere
Previous startup experience
Some familiarity with compliance efforts (annual security audit and policy audits)
Experience with security auditing tools and services such as Trustwave or Qualys
Experience administering and maintaining server environments for complex distributed software applications (Java preferred)
