AYASDI Customer Success Engineer

Ayasdi is pioneering a newer way to understand large and complex data using Topological Data Analysis (TDA) to automatically discover insights.  We use TDA to unify cutting-edge machine learning approaches into a common framework without the need to write algorithms, queries or models. We’re building a platform to solve some of the world’s most complex data problems and are seeking you to join us as our Customer Success Engineer. 

What you will do:

  • Utilize your expert hands-on, client-facing, service delivery capabilities to drive the solution deployment on customer rollouts for Ayasdi implementation projects.
  • Work closely with client stakeholders to determine technical requirements for specific business objectives.
  • Engage and solve customer issues directly and in partnership with internal resources as needed
  • Plan implementation engagements, deploy solution components, and participate in the product configuration and installation efforts in order to meet clients’ specific requirements
  • Work closely with our Engineering and Product Management teams to document product issues, enhancement requests raised by customers, and possible implementation flow improvements, developing test cases and confirming software deficiencies as needed to develop timely workarounds and fixes
  • Build, Maintain and grow the Ayasdi Knowledge Base
  • Bring your proactive customer centric behaviors following up on customer commitments effectively prioritizing issues in process/product refinements, relaying feedback to Sales, Engineering, QA and Product Management teams

Necessary experience:

  • 4 to 6+ years of professional experience in information technology, with at least 2 years in a customer- facing role involved in product implementation and hands-on technical activities within enterprise corporate environments
  • An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, or other related technical disciplines (Extensive professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree)
  • Experience installing, configuring and administration of Linux-based Operating Systems, including basic shell proficiency (bash, sh, ksh, tcsk, etc.), experience with package management systems (apt/dpkg, yum/rpm, etc.), file archiving tools (tar, gz, zip, bz2), remote access and file transfer protocols (SSH, SCP, SFTP/FTP), and authentication frameworks (LDAP/Kerberos)
  • Experience with Python and other scripting languages (e.g. bash)
  • Basic experience with some RDBMS, such as MySQL, PostgresSQL, etc.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to issue resolution
  • English fluency (written and spoken)
  • Self-starter who can ramp up with new technologies quickly and can adapt to a growing and rapidly evolving team

Preferred that you also have:

  • Basic experience with container frameworks in general, Docker in particular
  • Basic experience with Hadoop
  • Experience with Ansible
